DAVAO del Sur – Many residents of Kimlawis, Kiblawan in Davao del sur availed of medical services offered by the provincial government through the health office on Wednesday, June 7.
Barangay Kimlawis is one of the remote villages in the province.
Some services offered included medical consultations, eye checkups with free reading glasses, circumcision for young men, and minor surgeries such as cyst, wart and mole removals.
Some residents were also able to get free massages and veterinary care.
Governor Yvonne Cagas joined and led the activity herself.
The governor also gave clothes and food to children in the area.
Cagas was joined by an official of the Kiblawan local government unit.
The provincial government’s initiative aims to access remote villages in the province to provide much-needed medical services.
Residents were elated to be able to receive these services from the government.
