46 MSMEs Participate in Annual Gensan Trade Fair, Showcasing Local Products and Innovations

General Santos City, July 12, 2023 – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) General Santos City officially opened the doors of Yaman Gensan, a trade fair featuring small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in a city mall yesterday, July 12.

Themed “Continuing Growth: Embracing Digitalization and Innovation,” the trade fair is an annual event aimed at promoting and honoring the significant role of local businesses in driving economic development.

This year, a total of 46 MSMEs joined the Gensan Trade Fair, offering customers a wide array of products ranging from food items like corn cake, tuna chicharon, pure wild raw honey or dugos, empanada, and other food products, to non-food innovations such as soaps, household items, and accessories.

The DTI encourages the MSMEs to continue improving their businesses, ensuring the sustainability and growth of their enterprises. The trade fair provides them with an opportunity to showcase their products, attract customers, and network with fellow entrepreneurs.
