PASAY CITY, Philippines – In a separate operation, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) in coordination with PDEA and the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group intercepted an inbound shipment containing shabu at the Paircargo Warehouse in Pasay City yesterday.

The shipment, originally declared as African cultural items, originated from Dubai, UAE, and was traced back to Johannesburg, South Africa. The consignee of the shipment was an individual based in Makati City.

Upon thorough inspection, authorities discovered that the shipment was used to conceal shabu among items such as punda, habol, nuts, seeds, and jumbo peanuts.

The PDEA now has custody of the illegal drugs, with an estimated value of 45,900,000 pesos.
