Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct switching power interruptions on August 7 and 12, Monday and Saturday, affecting customers in the southern part of Davao City.
These power interruptions are necessary to conduct maintenance works at Toril Substation.
The first power interruption will be for 2 hours from 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on August 7, Monday, to facilitate the transfer of loads from the affected lines to nearby substations. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 2 hours from 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on August 12, Saturday.
Specifically affected are customers along McArthur Highway From Dumoy Substation going to Harvey’s Kambingan Eatery (after bridge) and going to Dumoy Road, Vales Beach Resort, Daliao.
Also affected are customers along McArthur Highway from Puan Substation going to J-15 Japan Surplus and Harvey’s Kambingan, including DCWD PW #20, #8, #16, and #11; as well as those along McArthur Highway from Toril Substation going to Gaisano Grand Toril and going to Lubogan and Tagakpan Manambulan Road.
Lastly, customers in Sirawan going to Gaisano Mall Toril and Saavedra, including Gaisano Grand, Catigan Road, and Marapangi, from Toril Substation going to Gaisano Grand and Bayabas Eden Road will also be affected by these service interruptions.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
