CAMIGUIN – A two-day training on fertilizer management, soil sampling, analysis using test kits, and fertilizer recommendation was conducted by the Bureau of Soils and Water Management under the Department of Agriculture. This event aimed to educate municipal agriculturists and farmers from Mambajao, Mahinog, Guinsiliban, Catarman, and Sagay in Camiguin Province.

The training was organized in collaboration with the Provincial Agriculture’s Office and was recently held to further enrich the knowledge of agriculturists and farmers in soil health and management. The focus was on the proper utilization of organic and inorganic fertilizers to enhance agricultural production across the province.

During the training sessions, participants were educated on the correct application of organic and inorganic fertilizers, as well as the importance of soil health and management. The training also covered soil sampling techniques and analysis using test kits to determine the specific needs of the soil for optimal crop growth.
