DAVAO DE ORO – Construction work on two public hospitals in Davao de Oro officially commenced on September 13, with groundbreaking ceremonies held by the provincial government.

The Davao de Oro Provincial Hospital is set to receive new building facilities, including a PHP 3.5 million emergency and Out-Patient Department (OPD) waiting area, expected to be completed within 119 days. Additionally, a PHP 1.9 million watchers’ area is slated to be finished in 82 days.

Yesterday’s groundbreaking ceremony also marked the start of construction for the PHP 1.4 million material facility at the Davao de Oro Provincial Hospital-Pantukan.

Thanks to the efforts and initiatives of the Provincial Engineer’s Office, these infrastructure projects have been funded through the 20% development fund. They are expected to bring significant improvements to the hospitals’ operations, benefiting both clients and patients.

As part of Governor Dorothy Montejo-Gonzaga’s development agenda, these projects underscore the importance of providing quality healthcare services to the people of the province.
