Four dead, three critically wounded in Zamboanga road mishap

 ZAMBOANGA CITY — Four workers died while three others were critically wounded after the reportedly speeding truck rammed  against another vehicle along the national highway of MCLL Highway Sitio Tigbao,Barangay Licomo at around 5:00 in the morning on October 10.

The fatalities were identified as Rosiller Tomotong, 30, from Tungawan Zamboanga Sibugay; Ariel Lipay Manos, 32 years old, resident of Bayog Zamboanga Sur; Bobong Magat, 50 years old resident of Tungawan Zamboanga Sibugay and  a cetain Noli.

The critically wounded victims  Herbert Arcillas dela Rosa, 33, and a resident of Tigbao Licomo;  Jerry Boy Bartolome Mallari,26 years old resident of Ipil Zamboanga Sibugay; Felix Santos,22 years old, from Ipil Zamboanga Sibugay, were immediately admitted to Ipil Medical Center.

Initial traffic investigation showed that  dela Rosa, who was driving the Isuzu truck carrying   30 hogs from the province of Zamboanga was running fast towards the city center when another truck swerved  towards the highway which caused the collision, due to the impact, dela Rosa’s truck rammed into an electric post.

The police report showed that the truck of  dela Rosa hit he rear portion of another truck driven by  Elowino Molina Lorenzo with licensed plate number MAU-9970.

Some hogs were killed during the incident.-Rodolfo Tubilag Jr.
