COTABATO – The Cotabato Provincial Government, in collaboration with the Integrated Provincial Health Office, continues its efforts to address mental health issues in the province. A mental health summit and check-up have been organized, providing residents with invaluable access to expert consultations and appropriate treatments.

The objective of this initiative is to support individuals within the province who may be grappling with mental health challenges, helping them alleviate their suffering, rebuild self-confidence, and enhance their abilities.

The True Service Team of the Integrated Provincial Health Office conducted a mental health check-up at the Rural Health Unit in President Roxas on October 20. A total of 29 patients were able to avail themselves of these services during this event.

Transitioning to the previous day, a mental health check-up was held at the Municipal Covered Court in Barangay San Mateo, Aleosan. Here, 42 patients had the opportunity for free consultations and treatment. The True Service Team, which includes nurses, psychiatrists, and psychometricians, worked together to provide these essential services.

Governor Emmylou “Lala” Taliño-Mendoza spearheads this endeavor in response to the challenges posed by mental health issues. Her aim is to strengthen and fortify the bonds between family members, ensuring that they can collectively tackle any challenges without the need to shoulder anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues.

Governor Mendoza remains committed to sustaining programs and activities that promote mental health awareness throughout the province.
