DAVAO CITY — Lanao del Sur Governor Mamintal Adiong Jr. condemned the “violent bombing incident” in Marawi City which claimed the lives of three people while wounding seven (7) others.

The Governor in a statement released Sunday morning said “To the families of those whose lives were lost in this senseless act of violence and terrorism, please accept our deepest condolences and sympathies. We will make sure justice will be served.”

The police are still investigating the explosion which occurred at the Dimaporo Gymnasium at the Mindanao State University during a Sunday mass congregation.

House Deputy Minority Leader Mujiv Hataman also joined Adiong in condemning the cincident.

Hataman described the incident as “plain and simple terrorism.”

Wala na tayong ibang salita para ilarawan ang karahasan na ginawa sa mga estudyanteng payapang nagdadaos ng misa kanina, isang malayang pagpapahayag ng kanilang relihiyon,” Hataman said in a statement.
