DAVAO CITY — The 8-yar-old child who was beaten by a drunken father, has passed away early Thursday Morning inside a hospital in General Santos City, exactly two days after the incident that occurred in Barangay Fatima in General Santos City.
The General Santos City Police Office and the doctors at the Doctor Jorge Royeca Hospital confirmed the death of the young Yuri due to the pain caused by his 34-year-old father, Roy Canlaon, Jr., while under the influence of alcohol.
The son was slapped, lifted and thrown to the ground by his drunken father when he refused to buy another bottle of alcohol for his drunk father who was drinking with his friends.
Canlaon just cried and sat in a corner of the large police detention facility whenradio reporters went this Thursday morning to inform him regarding the death of Yuri.
