DAVAO CITY — Misamis Occidental Provincial Jail has recently embarked on a comprehensive religious and spiritual development program aimed at rehabilitating and empowering its inmates.
Governor Henry S. Oaminal initiated the program in collaboration with Misamis Occidental Provincial Reformatory Jail Warden Stephen Sean Daral.
Oaminal said the program is part of his administration’s 5-point reformation plan that takes a holistic approach to the well-being of prisoners.
As part program, the jail has introduced a series of religious activities, including catechism, recollection, and the sacrament of confession.
These practices are intended to provide inmates with a pathway towards redemption and personal growth by encouraging them to reflect on their past actions and seek forgiveness.
Under the guidance of Governor Oaminal, the Misamis Occidental Provincial Jail is not simply a place of physical confinement but a center for spiritual and moral reflection.
