DAVAO CITY –— Former Negros Oriental Governor Arnulfo Teves was arrested on Thursday afternoon playing golf in   Temor Leste Golf.

Teves is facing charges for allegedly masterminding the killing of a political rival Roel Degamo in 2023.

National Bureau of Investigation national director Medardo De Lemos in an interview with ABS-CBN said “Naglalago sya sa golf course noong naabutan nga Interpol.”

De Lemos said the NBI  arrived in Temor Leste last Wednesday and paid a courtesy visit to Temor Leste President Jose’ Ramos-Horta and informed him about the Red Notice Order against Teves as his passport had been cancelled.

Teves is now jailed inside a facility in Temor Leste pending deportation.
