DAVAO CITY — Air passengers at Ninoy Aquino terminals 1 & 2 can now enjoy free pure fiber wi-fi while inside the building.

This after the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), collaborated with Converge ICT Solutions Inc. and launched a project on Thursday.

Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista emphasized the advantages of the project on the airport’s connectivity, and the passengers’ comfort and convenience.

Bautista thanked Converge ICT CEO Dennis Anthony Uy for realizing the 2022 agreement.

“This launch of alternative Wi-fi service at Terminals 1 and 2 provides the fast and reliable connectivity much needed when traveling. This also makes NAIA compliant with the law that mandates free wi-fi service in all public places, such as airports,” Bautista said.

Earlier on, Terminals 4 and 3 connectivity were launched.

Bautista said in the coming months, various domestic and international gateways are also slated to be covered by the free connectivity.

Other key officials present in the event were MIAA General Manager Eric Jose Ines, CAAP Director General Manuel Antonio Tamayo, CAAP Deputy Director General for Administration Danjun Lucas, Pasay City Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano, Converge ICT COO Jesus Romero, and CCO Benjamin Azada.
