DAVAO CITY —The Philippine National Police on Friday announced the cancellation of gun permits it issued to Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.

The PNP registered the firearms and issued a license to own and possess firearms (LTOPF) to Quiboloy after passing the requirements but since he has been considered a fugitive, the police organization revoked the permit.

Quiboloy’s guns are now considered loose firearms

PNP Spokesperson Colonel Jean Fajardo during the Friday press briefing said PNP chief Gen. Rommel Marbil revoked the license to own and possess firearms and the firearms registration of Quiboloy and his co-accused Ingrid Canada.

The PNP also ordered the Quiboloy to surrender the guns within six months.

The PNP invoked Section 4G of Republic Act 10591, Fajardo explained the legal disability for gun ownership also includes “pendency of a criminal case with an imposable penalty of two years.”

“Wherefore, foregoing considered, the LTOPF and firearms registration of Apollo Carreon Quiboloy are hereby revoked,” Fajardo said during a press conference held at Camp Crame in Quezon City on Friday.
