DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos has issued a stern warning to anyone obstructing the Philippine National Police (PNP) operations or assisting Apollo Quiboloy in evading capture.
Abalos threatened to pursue legal action against individuals who interfere with the enforcement of justice in the high-profile case involving the founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC).
Presentation of Quiboloy and Co-Accused
At a press conference held on September 9, Secretary Abalos publicly presented Apollo Quiboloy, who appeared with his face covered by a scarf, sunglasses, and a cap to obscure his identity. Alongside Quiboloy, his co-accused—Ingrid Canada, Sylvia Cemañes, Jacklyn Roy, and Cresente Canada—were also shown to the media.
The presentation was part of the government’s effort to update the public on the progress of the case and to demonstrate the authorities’ commitment to addressing the charges.
