8-hour power interruption in Southern Davao City on March 20

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) has announced an 8-hour power interruption in southern Davao City on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The scheduled outage is necessary for the preventive maintenance work of Hedcor, Inc. at its Puan Switching Station and Davao Light’s line maintenance at the Binugao Substation.

The areas affected by the power interruption include the following: from the crossing near Carabao Statue at Toril Junction to Barangay Inawayan in Toril, including Sirawan, Catigan, and Binugao.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience and assures customers that efforts will be made to restore the electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, restoration may take longer due to unforeseen circumstances.

The company emphasizes safety during maintenance activities. The public is advised to exercise caution when passing near the work areas and follow all warning signs, particularly where personnel operate heavy equipment.
