DAVAO CITY (July 10) – Passengers at the Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT) can now enjoy free internet access, thanks to a new project by DCOTT and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).

DCOTT Manager Aisa Usop told Radyo Pilipinas that the free Wi-Fi service began on July 1 to meet the growing demand for digital connectivity among commuters.

Users are given 30 minutes of free access per session, with the option to reconnect by simply logging in again. The service is available throughout the terminal.

Usop said the initiative is part of DICT’s nationwide effort to provide free Wi-Fi in public areas, especially in high-traffic locations like transport terminals, to promote digital inclusion.

“Wi-Fi has become a part of our lives. Many passengers rely on it, especially when arranging pick-ups,” she added.
