Davaoena bar topnotcher is a graft investigator

DAVAO CITY, Philippines — The Davaoena who ranked third in the 2017 bar examinations is a graft investigator at the  Office of the Ombudsman Mindanao.

The Office of the Ombudsman Mindanao, shared the joy of Attorney  Camille B. Remoroza, who placed third in the 2017 Philippine Bar Examinations with a rating of 90.7%.

Remoroza is a graduate of the Ateneo de Davao University law school.

Remoroza, joined OMB-Mindanao last February, is a member of the legal staff of Deputy Ombudsman for Mindanao Rodolfo M. Elman.

“When she applied, I saw in her the qualities that the Office seeks in an applicant. More than her outstanding academic credentials, it is her character, with her humility, simplicity and innate goodness that made an impression,” said Elman, who is one of Atty. Remoroza’s professors in the Ateneo de Davao University College of Law.

Atty. Remoroza is the third bar topnotcher to join OMB Mindanao in the past four years: Atty. Rosemil R. Bañaga and Atty. Gil E. Garcia II, who both placed fourth in the 2011 and 2014 Bar Exams, respectively, are Graft Investigation and Prosecution Officers (GIPO) II who joined the Office in 2015

On top 1 is University of St. La Salle’s Mark John Simondo with 91.050%. Second placer is Christianne Mae Balili of University of San Carlos.

A total of 6,748 took the 2017 Bar exams last November and only 1,724 passed or 25.55%.

Ateneo de Davao President Fr. Joel Tabora, congratulated Remoroza.

The Ateneo de Davao University,  College of Law, posted a high passing rate of  82.61%.

Tabora also congratulated College of Law Dean Atty. Manny Quibod for the excellent performance.

Ateneo had a total of 46 takers and 38 passed.-ezc/newsline.ph
