A man shot to death while drinking coffee in his house

DAVAO CITY, Philippines —- A man was shot to death while having his coffee in his house in Purok Maligaya B, Sitio Lawis, Barangay Bato, Santa Cruz, Davao Del Sur around 4:30 pm on May 28.

The police identified the victim as Eduardo Quezon Nebres Jr., 33 years old and a resident of the area.

According to the police report, the victim was drinking coffee with his live-in partner, Linie Salting Campaner, 33 years old, inside their house when a man allegedly selling solar lights entered and offered to live in the house but was refused.

It was then that the suspect entered Eduardo’s house and shot him several times, causing his death.

The suspect used a .45 caliber pistol in the killing, based on the empty shells recovered by the police investigators from the crime scene.

The police are still investigating the real motive for the shooting.
