Agri office turns over P1.1-m worth of free range chicken in CDO

DAVAO CITY –— To help farmers earn a living, the Department of Agriculture regional office 10 (DA-X) on Wednesday turned over P1.1-million worth of freee range chicken to the city veterinarian’s office.

In a statement, it says DA regional director Carlene C. Collado personally handed over some 350 chicken to the local government thru the veterinarian’s office which owns a free range chicken multiplier farm, serving as the city stock farm in barangay Balubal.

City Administrator Roy Hilario Raagas, who represented Mayor Klarex Uy, with City Veterinarian Dr. Perla Asis and barangay captain Pablo Bactong received the chicks and the agricultural supplies and signed the certificate of acceptance and commitment during the ceremonial turnover ceremony,

Raagas in a message emphasized the importance of the livestock to the farmers especially now that the coutry is still reviving from the two-year pandemic.

He thanked Collado for the intervention.
