Alabel celebrates 22nd Kasadyaan Festival

SARANGANI PROVINCE – The local government of Alabel in Sarangani Province has prepared a lively and diverse set of activities for the celebration of the 22nd Kasadyaan Festival and the 52nd Founding Anniversary this year.

The festivities include various contests such as the Bida Kalabaw, Chicken/Duck/Hito Catching, Abakape Contest, Native Chicken and Hito Cooking Contest, and Abaca Stripping.

One of the highlights of the celebration is the Mutya ng Alabel 2023, where 14 candidates competed for the crown.

Additionally, a range of sports tournaments, including lawn tennis and billiards, were organized to engage the community.

The celebration also featured the Indigenous People’s and Persons with Disabilities Day, which commenced with a mass and included the opening of an Agri-Fishery Fair and Farmer’s and Fisherfolks Day.

Local farmers and fisherfolk cooperatives from different barangays actively participated in the program.

The 22nd Kasadyaan Festival and 52nd Founding Anniversary in Alabel will continue until September 10, promising a joyful and vibrant atmosphere for both locals and tourists.
