Arabic teachers in BARRM get teaching materials

DAVAO CITY—Islamic Studies and Arabic Language (ISAL) teachers across BARMM got their teaching materials from Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education’s (MBHTE) on March 30 in Cotabato City.
 
The first leg of the distribution of office supplies and equipment intended for ISAL teachers kicked off at the Cotabato City Schools Division Office (SDO).
 
The Bangsamoro Region has total of 260 ISAL teachers, they all received clerical tables and chairs with 4-drawer steel cabinets, water dispensers, trash bins, and other teaching materials.
 
Minister Mohagher Iqbal said there are more than five thousand Arabic teachers currently teaching in eleven (11) SDOs that are beneficiaries of the said program.
 
“Ito ay kabilang lamang sa comprehensive programs natin para matulungan ang mga BARMM teachers sa kanilang pagtuturo at patuloy po ang mga ganitong aktibidad,” the Minister said.
 
Iqbal further added that the said distribution is expected to continue to other school divisions until April.
 
“Apart from Madaris teachers, academic teachers are also scheduled to be given teaching and school supplies,” he added.
 
Meanwhile, Prof. Tahir Nalg, Director-General for Madaris Education said this is the first time that ISAL  teachers were provided with such school supplies.
 
Cotabato City Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Concepcion Balawag extended her gratitude to the MBHTE for the continued support and initiatives of the Bangsamoro Government to improve the quality of education.
 
“We will sustain the efforts of the Bangsamoro Government to attain lasting peace in Mindanao,” Balawag said.
