COTABATO CITY—More clans in feud were settled as the Bangsamoro Government’s  Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) spearheaded the mediation between two clans in Maguindanao del Norte last week.

On Feb. 8 and 9, two rido cases in the towns of Barira and Buldon were settled in partnership with local government units, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders at Barangay Aratuc in Buldon town of said province.

During the ceremony, both parties signed an amicable agreement to resolve the conflict between families and put an end to it.

Meanwhile, on Feb. 12,  two families in Matanog town were also reconciled amicably.

Both families took an oath by holding the Qur’an to show their sincere commitment not only to the presence of human beings but for the sake of Almighty Allah.  Both families promised not to engage in conflict again.

The rido settlement is one of the major programs of MPOS towards ensuring a safe, secure, and peaceful Bangsamoro. –Taher Solaiman with report from BOI
