DAVAO CITY—Regional officials announced Monday that thousands of Muslim and Christian employees of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) will receive a P10,000 Ramadan bonus.

Chief Minister Abdulraof Abdul Macacua signed an executive order authorizing the release of the bonus for all personnel of BARMM ministries and support agencies, including contractual and job order employees.

“This bonus is for all our hardworking personnel—regardless of employment status,” Macacua said in a statement.

Many BARMM workers expressed gratitude on social media, noting that the bonus would help them prepare for Eid’l Fitr, the celebration marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

The gesture reflects Macacua’s commitment to inclusive governance and employee welfare as he begins his term as Chief Minister of the autonomous region.
