DAVAO CITY — Beauty queen Shafifa Akeel-Mangundadatu is vying for the gubernatorial seat in Sultan Kudarat town.
Akeel-Mangundadatu is the wife of Maguindanao First District Representative Ismael Mangundadatu who is also running for Governor in the provinve of Maguindanao.
The Mangundadatu couple is running in two different provinces against mother-son in the same provinces.
Representative Mangundadatu is running against incumbent Maguindanao Governor Mariam Sangki-Mangundadatu while Akeel-Mangundadatu is running against Atu Pax Mangundadatu, the son of the governor.
