BREAKING! Davao City orders pre-emptive evacuation affecting 16 low-lying areas

DAVAO CITY (MARCH 18) — The Davao City Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Office operation center has advised the residents from the 16 villages situated in the low-lying areas of the city to conduct a pre-emptive evacuation as Typhoon Chedeng affects the city.

On it’s official page, the city government stated “CDRRMO-OPCEN advises everyone to conduct a pre-emptive evacuation for the following landslide prone areas:

-Purok Guadalupe
-Quiniones Compound
-Pluto St. Gsis
-Shrine Hills Diversion Road
-Milky Way St and Virgo St. GSIS Heights

2.BRGY. MANDUG
-DDF Village Mandug

3.BRGY. BUHANGIN
-PUROK DAMAYAN

4.BRGY. MAA
-Juario Village, 
-Purok 9, Shrine Hills
-Nacilla Village, Shrine Hills
-Dinaville Subdivision

This developed as the provincial governments of Davao Oriental, Davao del Norte and Compostela have ordered class suspension in all levels in both private and public schools today and tomorrow, March 19, as Typhoon Chedeng is expected to affect the Davao region.
