Brig. Gen Matthew Baccay is the new DIDM Chief

DAVAO CITY—Philippine National Police Chief General Romil Francisco Marbil has appointed Brigadier General Matthew Baccay as the new Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management (DIDM) chief.

Baccay, a lawyer, replaced Major General Leo Francisco after the latter was reassigned as CIDG Chief following the latest reorganization of police officials.

Before his new assignment, Baccay served as the chief of the Directorate for Personnel and Records Management (DPRM) of the PNP.

The DIDM is a PNP office mandated to assist and advise the Chief, PNP in the direction, control, coordination, and supervision of the investigation of all crime incidents and offenses in violation of the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
