CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Employees of the local government actively engaged in an earthquake drill, executing the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure as they proceeded to designated evacuation areas outside the City Hall.

The City Government of Cagayan de Oro initiated the earthquake drill following recent seismic activities in the area. The exercise aimed to ensure that employees are well-prepared to respond appropriately in the event of an earthquake.

The participants took part in the drill with the objective of familiarizing themselves with the necessary actions to take during an earthquake, emphasizing the importance of quick and coordinated responses in ensuring everyone’s safety.

This proactive measure comes in the wake of consecutive tremors in the city, underscoring the local government’s commitment to prioritizing the safety and well-being of its employees and residents.
