ZAMBOANGA CITY – A congressman and his father who is a former mayor and three other family members are currently hospitalized after contracting coronavirus disease 2019 (Coivd-19).
They are Zamboanga City 2nd District Rep. Manuel Jose “Mannix” Dalipe; his father, former Mayor Manuel Dalipe; his wife Keenah, and his two daughters Margaret and Baby Madison.
The first to contract Covid-19 was former Mayor Dalipe, according to Rep. Dalipe in a social media post on Tuesday.
However, it was unclear how the elder Dalipe has contracted the virus.
“Thank you for your prayers of healing for my Dad, former Mayor Manny,” Rep. Dalipe said Wednesday on his social media page.
Rep. Dalipe said that he and his family contracted the virus as they have come into close contact with his father. The congressman and the entire family are currently admitted in a private hospital.
“Please also include us, my wife Keenah, my two daughters, Margaret and Baby Madison, in your prayers as we are also found positive of Covid-19,” Rep. Dalipe said.
“Five members of the Dalipe family are now bravely fighting the Covid-19. Please continue to pray for us as we also pray for everyone’s health and safety,” he added. – NewsLine.ph
