Cotabato gov’t distributes genetically modified corn seeds to 71 farmers

COTABATO PROVINCE – The Provincial Government of Cotabato has distributed genetically modified maize seeds to 71 farmers to assist with their agricultural expenses.

A total of ₱319,500 worth of genetically modified hybrid corn seeds were provided to farmers in Barangay Tigbawan, Pigcawayan. This support is part of the provincial government’s efforts to help local farmers.

The 71 beneficiaries come from various barangays, expressing their gratitude to the provincial government for prioritizing the needs of farmers in the province.

Recipients also plan to share the benefits of these seeds with other Cotabato residents to help them in their livelihoods.

The distribution was overseen by officials from Barangay Tigbawan and personnel from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist.
