Customs at NAIA increase personnel to facilitate returning OFWs

DAVAO CITY — The Bureau of Customs has increased its personnel at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to facilitate the influx of returning overseas Filipino workers and repatriates from the international airport during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Customs in a press statement said they will stand with their commitment by “Providing Government Service 24/7” the added workforce comes as an initiative of the Port as it anticipates the influx of returning Filipinos due to the lifting of some restrictions for air travel brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Customs Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero, said they are ready to assist travelers arriving in the country.

The Port also assures all arriving passengers that increased manpower shall aim to make customs clearance faster and more efficient. The BOC is one with the Filipino Nation in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Bureau is committed to providing support not only to the government but to every Filipino as well.-Newsline.ph
