Officials observed Davao’s preparation, met their counterparts and tag along while Davao chiefs of offices prepare for the event to replicate and harness the template for Dapitan.

Dapitan is known to be the center for tourism in Zamboanga Peninsula and is the most visited place by tourists in the region maintaining its different spots, its strong Heritage and Sports Tourism, thus, continually drawing tourists to visit the city as it is also known as the place where all members of the family have something to be interested in.

Since then, Dapitan has hosted various national and international events like the National Chess Tournament, Mutya ng Pilipinas, Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC), and National Drag Racing of the Philippines Drag Strip, among others.

“The IRONMAN 70.30 Davao City event, Davao City LGU enlightened the Dapitan City delegation to create an equally successful IRONMAN 5150 event in Dapitan City.
