DAVAO CITY (October 12) — A buy-bust operation in Barangay Cabantian yielded P333,200 worth of suspected shabu and arrests of alleged high-value drug targets on October 10, but police have yet to disclose how many suspects were arrested or whether charges have been filed.

The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) said personnel of Police Station 5 in Buhangin conducted the operation at around 4:21 p.m. at Agol Compound, beside Pickle Hitz.

Police did not identify the suspects or disclose the weight of the seized substance.

DCPO City Director Police Col. Peter Bauzon Madria commended the operating team led by Police Maj. Clarian Dave S. Toboso, citing the city’s continuing anti-drug campaign.

The DCPO also cited coordination with local officials and community members but provided no further details on the evidence recovered or the legal status of the arrested individuals.

The undisclosed details leave the public unable to assess the full outcome of the operation beyond the announced street value. Information on the evidence seized, charges filed and subsequent court proceedings would help establish whether the arrests lead to cases that withstand judicial scrutiny.

The suspects’ classification as high-value targets does not establish guilt, which must be determined through due process.
