DAVAO CITY (October 31) — From Mindanao to Malaysia, from Brunei to Palawan — regional ties in trade and tourism are set to take center stage as the Brunei Darussalam–Indonesia–Malaysia–Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) holds its 2025 Trade and Tourism Fair in Davao City from November 9 to 11.

The three-day fair at Ayala Malls Abreeza will transform the city into a hub of cross-border business and cultural exchange, showcasing a mix of Halal-certified food, textiles, fashion, crafts, and tourism experiences from the four member countries.

According to Department of Trade and Industry–Davao Region Director Romeo Castañaga, the fair will feature about 50 exhibitors, with each participating country hosting its own pavilion. “It’s a great opportunity for local SMEs to connect with foreign buyers and promote Mindanao-made products for export,” he said.

Aside from product displays, the event will also include business matching sessions and investment promotions to attract new ventures and partnerships across the region.

The fair coincides with the 33rd BIMP-EAGA Senior Officials and Ministerial Meetings, gathering top government representatives to discuss the progress of ongoing projects in connectivity, trade, and tourism within the subregion.
