Davao del Sur donates paint and painting materials to public schools in Magsaysay town

DAVAO DEL SUR – With the upcoming reopening of classes, the Provincial Government of Davao del Sur took a step towards ensuring a conducive and comfortable learning environment by donating gallons of paint and other painting materials to public schools in Magsaysay. This initiative comes in support of the ongoing Brigada Eskwela program, which aims to prepare schools for the upcoming school year.

The turnover ceremony took place on August 17, emphasizing the government’s commitment to providing a conducive and vibrant learning environment for the students of Magsaysay, Davao del Sur.

A total of 19 schools in the municipality of Magsaysay benefited from the generous donation of the provincial government, with 15 of them being elementary schools.

Recipient Elementary schools include::

  • Mabini Elementary School
  • Bala Elementary School
  • Magsaysay Central Elementary School
  • Lower Asbang Elok Elementary School
  • Tacul Elementary School
  • Glamang Elementary School
  • New Ilocos Elementary School
  • Maibo Elementary School
  • San Miguel Elementary School
  • San Isidro Elementary School
  • Kanapolo Elementary School
  • Dalumay Elementary School
  • Kasuga Elementary School
  • Balnate Elementary School
  • Blocon Elementary School

Additionally, four high schools also received support through this initiative:

  • Lower Bala National High School
  • San Isidro National High School
  • Barayong National School
  • Salud Cagas TechVoc High School

The donation was personally handed over by Governor Yvonne Cagas to the beneficiary schools. The funding for this project was sourced from the 2023 Special Education Fund.
