DAVAO CITY — Residents in some parts of the city will experience power disruptions as the Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct three power interruptions on December 12 and 14, Monday and Wednesday, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City. These service disruptions will be necessary to conduct the normalization of Matina Substation and isolate Sta. Ana Substation for maintenance works.
The first power interruption will be for 30 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on December 12, Monday.
Specifically affected are customers in the portion of Bangkal, Ulas, and Talomo areas; from PLDT-Bangkal to Jollibee Puan, including Coca-Cola Ulas and neighboring areas; as well as those along Davao Bukidnon Road, from Ulas Junction to Sea Oil – Catalunan Pequeño, and neighboring areas.
Separately, another 30-minute power interruption will be conducted anytime between 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on the same day, December 12, Monday to transfer loads and isolate Sta. Ana substation. Normalization or return of loads back to normal set up will be for 30 minutes anytime between 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on December 14, Wednesday.
Specifically affected are customers along Quezon Boulevard from Sta. Ana Police Station up to Artiaga Junction; including Don Julian Rodriguez Children’s Park, Brgy 31-D Gymnasium, Brgy 21-C Covered Court, Piapi Public Market, Mini Forest Boulevard, Salmonan Fish Market, and neighboring areas; as well as those along Gempesaw Street, and neighboring areas.
Also affected are customers along Bonifacio Street from Quezon Boulevard Junction to CM Recto Intersection, and neighboring areas; as well as those along T. Monteverde St. from Leon Garcia Junction to Gempesaw intersection; including Sta Ana Pier, and neighboring areas.
Lastly, customers along Leon Garcia St from Sta. Ana Pier to Asian International School of Aeronautics and neighboring areas will also be affected by these service disruptions.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
