DAVAO CITY (July 29) – Davao Light and Power Company Inc. (DLPC) officially launched its 138 kV ERA Line 2 project on Monday to help meet the city’s growing energy needs.

The project features a 25-kilometer sub-transmission line connecting the DLPC Substation on J.P. Laurel Avenue to the NGCP-Davao Substation in Mintal.

DLPC President and COO Engr. Enriczar Tia said the new line will greatly enhance power reliability, particularly in Davao’s downtown area, ensuring a more stable and resilient energy supply.

“This is now the second 138 kV line feeding the ERA substation, which is vital to Davao’s metropolis,” Tia noted, adding that it will boost the substation’s capacity from 150 MVA to 350 MVA to support rising demand.
