Davao’s biggest church observes 30% capacity

DAVAO CITY — The biggest Catholic church here strictly implement the 30% capacity fir its faithful as the city government reverted its quarantine status to Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) starting June 5 to June 20, 2021.

In an advisory signed by Davao Archbishop Romulo Valles dated June 4, 2021, asked the different parish priest here to put markings on the chairs inside the church to limit the capacity into 30percent only during regular mass and requiem mass.

Wedding and baptism masses are also cancelled.

For those who want to hear the Eucharistic celebrations, the Bishop urged the faithful to listen via the livestream but if they go to church they must follow the minimum health protocol to avoid getting infection.
