DAVAO CITY — The provincial government of Davao del Norte recently opened its new P2.48 million worth of facility and a pharmacy in the town of Carmen.

The facility sits within the vicinity of Davao del Norte Hospital – Carmen Zone.

The newly inaugurated facility will be added to the current 1,000-bed isolation capacity of the provincial government.

Carmen town Mayor Virginia Perandos led Jubahib to the facility during the ceremony.

Seated next to the facility is a pharmacy equipped with affordable medicines needed for Covid-19 treatment and for people to access their medical and pharmaceutical needs.

Jubahib said the new isolation facility is a testimony of his province’s commitment to helping fight the Coronavirus Disease pandemic.

“The safety of the people and their well-being in the midst of the pandemic is my utmost concerns, we welcome every resident of the province to come home, they are our people, they are us, but given the pandemic, we need to strictly follow the health protocol to protect their loved ones back home and the community, that is my commitment,” Jubahib noted.

The opening of the pharmacy, “is a symbol of the provincial government’s commitment to providing cheap and accessible medicine to the people. This is over and above our zero billing policy to the people who deserve the government support,” Jubahib explains in trying to stress the availability of health facilities and services in the province.
