DAVAO CITY — Instead of running under a regular election, Davao del Sur Governor Mark Douglas Cagas IV fielded his wife Yvonne Roña Cagas to run as Governor.

Cagas run under the Nationalista Party with cousin Atty. Riafe Cagas-Fernandez as her runningmate, while Vice Governor Atty. John Tracy Cagas (his relative) is running for the as Re[resentative

Governor Cagas succeeded the position of his later father Douglas Cagas who lost his battle against Covid-19 last June.

Mrs, Cagas will vie for the seat against Kiblawan Mayor John Mark Rama, the son of Davao Occidental Governor Claude Bautista,
