DAVAO CITY (August 1) – Acting City Director of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), PCOL Mannan C. Muarip, led the official demonstration of the Integrated Command Center (ICC)—highlighting the city’s firm commitment to rapid and coordinated emergency response.

The demonstration, aimed at achieving the critical 5-minute response time, was presented to major media outlets through simulated crisis scenarios to assess real-time operational efficiency and inter-agency coordination. It emphasized that in emergencies, every second matters.

Three carefully designed scenarios showcased the ICC’s capabilities:

  • Scenario 2: A mock shooting near St. Peter Funeral Homes assessed response speed and precision. (Scenario by Sammy Baug, Radyo Rapido)
  • Scenario 3: A hostage-taking simulation at Almendras Gym demonstrated the effective use of drone technology for situational awareness. (Scenario by Armando Fenequito, Radyo Pilipinas)

The successful execution of all scenarios demonstrated the readiness of DCPO personnel and the strength of the ICC’s integrated systems.

Media representatives from TV5, GMA Regional TV, Super Radyo, Bombo Radyo, Newsline PH, PTV, UNTV, Radyo Pilipinas, DXDC, PNA, Radyo Rapido, Newsforth, XFM, and iFM witnessed the event—underscoring the transparency and public engagement central to the initiative.
