TACURONG –The Department  of Agriculture (DA) gave corn seeds and fertilizer to farmers in Tacurong City on Wednesday, May 31.

The distribution took place at the Talakudong Grandstand, city hall grounds.

DA Region 12 distributed 18 kilos of hybrid corn seeds and fertilizers to various cooperatives in Tacurong through the LGU’s agricultural services.

This was part of the DA’s corn production enhancement program to develop grain production by 30% per hectare annually.

The city council encouraged the beneficiaries to work harder as the government will always be willing to help them.

According to the DA Region 12, the farmers will have a tremendous contribution to the government program.

The agency also encouraged the recipients to complete the requisites to be eligible for all programs of the government.

The LGU of Tacurong thanked the agriculturist staff who organized the program for the farmers – and the DA for the high quality seeds and fertilizers.

On the local government’s end, they said they will work on providing programs and services the farmers need to develop the high quality production of corn in Tacurong through the Department of Agriculture.
