DOT maintains ISO certification for seventh consecutive year

DAVAO CITY-— The Department of Tourism (DOT) has successfully retained its ISO 9001:2015 certification for the seventh year in a row, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to high-quality management.

At the closing ceremony of this year’s recertification process, Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco highlighted the DOT’s dedication to exceeding minimum compliance standards and delivering exceptional tourism services.

The recertification was confirmed through an audit conducted on September 11-12, 2024, by PT AJA Sertifikasi Indonesia-Philippine Representative Office.

Secretary Frasco praised the collective efforts of the DOT’s staff, noting that their hard work has consistently met and exceeded global benchmarks.

This achievement underscores the Department’s commitment to excellence and effective service delivery.

Additionally, the DOT received an “Unmodified Opinion” from the Commission on Audit (COA) for its fiscal year 2023 financial statements, affirming the accuracy and fairness of its financial reporting. The DOT has maintained this top rating in previous years as well.
