DPWH employee gunned down in Maguindanao

COTABATO CITY – An employee of the Department of Public Works and Highways – Region 12 (DPWH-12) based in Koronadal City was shot dead on Monday by unidentified motorcycle-riding assailants along the highway in Barangay Pingguiaman, Datu Odin Sinsuat town in the province of Maguindanao.

Datu Odin Sinsuat chief of police Major Romel dela Vega said Engr. Apinton Ibrahim, a resident of Barangay Rosary Heights -13 here, was driving his Toyota Innova with Plate Number ZTK 591 on his way to his working place in Koronadal City when the assailants shot him many times that caused his instant death at about 10:30 o’clock in the morning on Monday.

the Police said an investigation is now ongoing to identify the perpetrators and the motive behind the killing. – Newsline.ph
