Duterte accepts Teo’s resignation

MANILA — Barely a day after Tourism Secretary Wanda Tulfo-Teo tendered her resignation, President Rodrigo Duterte accepted it today, Tuesday.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque confirmed this in a text message.

The embattled tourism secretary submitted her resignation on Monday amidst calls for her to step down over the Department of Tourism’s (DOT) controversial P60-million advertisement deal with state-run People’s Television Network Inc. (PTV).
