Ebrahim urges newly-elected barangay leaders to uphold moral governance

DAVAO CITY—Bangsamoro Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim has urged the newly-elected Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan leaders to uphold Moral Governance in promoting peace and progress within the Bangsamoro region.

Ebrahim issued the statement after the 2023 BSKE was held on October 30.

In a statement issued on Oct. 31, Ebrahim congratulated the winners and set the tone for their future service in their barangays.

“Your noble task begins right now,” Ebrahim said, emphasizing the importance of their roles in fostering positive change.

Ebrahim said teh Bangsamoro government have addressed the election-related violence in some areas of BARMM and emphasized the pivotal role of Bangsamoro citizens in ensuring long-lasting peace and conflict-free elections in the region.

He appealed, “I appeal to all peace-loving Bangsamoro to remember that we can only sustain peace and continue to reap the fruits of the peace process if we safeguard and maintain peace among ourselves and our communities.”,Ebrahim also expressed his hopes for the BSK leaders as active partners of the BARMM Government in advancing peace and development in their Bangsamoro barangays.

Acknowledging the collective effort behind the success of BSKE 2023, Ebrahim thanked the Commission on Elections, the volunteer teachers, the members of the security forces, and all stakeholders who contributed to the success of the electoral process.

The objectives of sustaining and enhancing peace, justice, and security across the region are central to Ebrahim’s vision, which constitute the first and twelfth priorities within CM Ebrahim’s Enhanced 12-Point Priority Agenda. with report fom Johamin Inok/BIO
