Azia and Mardia were scheduled to get married in Manila on November 9, but Mardie died on November 1, in Manila due to illness.
With the help of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Mardia’s body was brought home to his Barangay.
Azia asked the Mayor to get married and was respected by the Mayor, but Mayor Tess explained to the girl that their marriage no longer has a legal basis because Mardie can no longer answer their “Wedding Vow” and the question of whether it is voluntary. married because it is dead.
