Female engineer and professor Shot in Kidapawan City

DAVAO CITY — A female civil engineer and university professor was gunned down in the afternoon, December 30, by unidentified gunmen at Kilometer 113, Purok 3, Barangay Binoligan, Kidapawan City.

The police have identified the victim as Engr. Sheila Ramos Bautista, 46 years old, a professor at the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) and Kidapawan City College (KCC). She was a resident of Purok 2B Tambis, Fernandez Subdivision, Barangay Manongol, Kidapawan City.

Reports indicate that Engr. Bautista was traveling in her SUV when the assailants struck, leaving her fatally wounded.

Authorities are still piecing together the circumstances surrounding the attack and working to identify the perpetrators.

The motive for the crime remains unclear as the investigation continues. Police have appealed to witnesses or anyone with information to come forward to assist in solving this case. The local community is in shock over the incident, and many have expressed their condolences to the family of the victim.
