KAPALONG, DAVAO DEL NORTE — The local government of Kapalong, Davao del Norte, persistently extends assistance to rice farmers in the city through the ongoing distribution of fertilizer discount vouchers, facilitated by the Municipal Agriculture Office.
The initiative, spearheaded by Mayor Maria Theresa Timbol, unfolded at Kapalong Green Paradise on the morning of December 29, where beneficiaries from various barangays in Kapalong received the support.
The program, coordinated with the Department of Agriculture, specifically targets farmers with a system-generated RSBSA (Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture) number, those engaged in rice production, and those who have availed of the seed support program during the 2023 dry season.
Further stages of the program are anticipated to be carried out in the coming days, as different barangays in Kapalong will follow suit in providing assistance to their local farmers.
