Former Karapatan Secgen arrested for possessing ‘shabu tooter’

DAVAO CITY (APRIL 30) – A former Secretary general of human rights group Alliance for the Advancement of People’s Rights-Southern Mindanao (Karapatan) was arrested and is now detained at the Bunawan Police after he was caught in possession of drug paraphernalia at a checkpoint here last Saturday, April 27.

Police Major Noel Villahermosa, chief of Bunawan police identified the former leader as Kelly Delgado, 39, resident of IFI Compound on F. Torres Street.

Delgado was arrested at a Task Force Davao outpost in Barangay Lasang this city.

Col. Consolito Yecla, Task Davao (TF) commander, said Delgado yielded an improvised tooter with shabu residue when his vehicle was subjected to a routine inspection.

Villahermosa said drug test showed, Delgado was positive illegal drugs use.

He was charged for violating under Section 12 of Republic Act 9165 or possession of illegal drug paraphernalia.-Reeya Nuñez/NewsLine.ph
